Topic clusters for the full game catalog

A practical map: one pillar, ten supporting pages, ten video ideas, how they link, and what to publish first. Downloadable markdown · JSON

This site already has hubs, keyword landings (/k/...), and rich game pages. The model below aligns with that structure—no new database tables required.

1. Pillar page

Primary pillar: /games — the main library hub. Every game detail URL should connect back here.

Secondary pillar: the homepage targets high-level “free PC games download” intent. Keep home ↔ /games linking strong so both reinforce the same cluster.

2. Ten supporting pages (on-site)

# URL Role
1/keywordsTopic index → /k/... landings.
2/discoverCurated discovery into games and collections.
3/strategy-gamesStrategy genre hub.
4/pixel-gamesPixel-art style hub.
5/open-source-gamesOpen-source / license-intent hub.
6/blogEditorial hub for long-tail support.
7/blog/top-10-free-indie-gamesListicle linking to many game pages.
8/blog/best-open-source-strategy-gamesNiche list + hub links.
9/categoriesCategory index → category flows.
10/faqTrust / clarity; links to library and policies.

Swaps: /how-it-works or /devs can replace a row if your priorities differ.

3. Ten supporting videos (YouTube / off-site)

Use as a content calendar. Always put the canonical hub or game URL in the first lines of the description and in a pinned comment.

  1. Library tour — how to browse; link /games.
  2. Keyword topics — how /keywords and /k/... help discovery.
  3. Strategy picks — link /strategy-games + 3 game pages.
  4. Pixel free games — link /pixel-games + examples.
  5. Open source & licenses — link /open-source-games + /faq.
  6. Safe downloading habits — link /faq + /how-it-works.
  7. Low-end PC discovery — link /discover + specific titles.
  8. Honest monthly picks — link /discover + /blog.
  9. Single-game deep dive — one /games/{slug} + pillar /games.
  10. Shorts per title — use each game page’s YouTube — search-focused video package (titles, description, hashtags, pinned comment).

5. Publishing priority

  1. Strengthen /games (clear links to hubs; natural language).
  2. Refresh /keywords and priority /k/... pages with real game links.
  3. Keep genre hubs (strategy, pixel, open source) internally linked from the pillar.
  4. Maintain game detail quality: FAQ ↔ JSON-LD, internal links, install/security blocks.
  5. Update /blog listicles with current slugs.
  6. Produce videos 1–2 (library + keywords).
  7. Videos 3–5 (genre + license education).
  8. Videos 6–8 (trust + discover).
  9. Per-game shorts using on-page video packages.
  10. Quarterly: Search Console → add internal links from the pillar to hubs that earn impressions.
